All Camp Choir:

Anne will lead us in a spontaneous vocal exploration of musical form.  No need for any previous singing experience or truing.  Come as you are, ready to create some magical songs and sounds.

Beginner Violin:

For players who can play a few tunes and are ready to learn the next favourite jam tunes.

Advanced Violin:

We’ll explore many styles from celtic to gypsy.  For players who learn quickly by ear and can play tunes up to speed.  We’ll also be learning how to create harmony parts and improvise.

Song Writing: 

Discover how to write your own songs.  It’s actually easier than you might think!!  Anne will guide participants through some of the tricks and techniques of songwriting.

Guitar:

From power chords to finger picking and alternate tunings, Paul will help you with new discoveries of rhythm and melody on the guitar.

Beginner Ukelele:

Join the wildly popular wave of Ukelele players.  Learn the basics with Ali!  

Drumming:

Learn fundamental African based world rhythms and proper hand drumming techniques so you can rock your music ensemble.

Rhythmic Movement, Staging and  Choreography:

Small Groups / Ensemble:

Meet your new musical friends at camp and form a small group to learn and arrange songs and tunes.  An instructor will help you prepare the music for performance at our weeks end public concert at the coop.

All Camp Folkestra:

We’ll finish the day by arranging a few of our songs for the whole group!  We will integrate all elements from the camp, voices, instruments and techniques learned in other classes.
